Cannes, France(Hexa PR Wire–May 12, 2026)–Grammy-winning violinist, producer, and music-tech entrepreneur Miri Ben-Ari will serve as Music Director and featured performer for the opening segment of the 79th Cannes Film Festival, appearing alongside actress Eye Haidara.
The performance is scheduled for May 12 at 7 p.m. at the Palais des Festivals, where the Opening Ceremony will officially launch one of the film industry’s most prominent international events. The ceremony will be broadcast live worldwide.
Ben-Ari’s Cannes appearance follows a series of high-profile performances, including her headline halftime performance at Game 7 of the NBA Finals, where she became the first recording artist violinist to lead the show. Her latest role places her at the intersection of live music, cinema, and global cultural events.
“My music has been the soundtrack of my life, and now I get to perform it as a live soundtrack in front of the most important audience in the film industry, on its biggest stage,” Ben-Ari said.
