After already establishing itself as a key player in the AI-powered data and payments space for commerce, Rezolve AI has further cemented its role through the acquisition of decentralized blockchain data platform Subsquid.
Building upon the company’s current enterprise and retail-focused offerings, which include Brain Commerce, Brain Checkout, and the proprietary brainpowa LLM, this acquisition seeks to further leverage blockchain data to make such resources even more powerful and reliable.
As Daniel M. Wagner, founder and CEO of Rezolve AI, explains, his company’s latest acquisition aims to create a scalable, enterprise-grade AI commerce platform that also takes advantage of the incredible efficiency and transparency of Web3.
The Latest Acquisition In a Strong Growth Trajectory
Subsquid isn’t the first acquisition by Rezolve, which also recently acquired digital-asset payments company Smartpay. “These acquisitions advance our mission to connect AI, digital-asset payments and blockchain-native data into a single intelligent commerce fabric — so agentic commerce can deliver the speed, efficiency, and reliability modern markets demand,” Wagner says.
“Subsquid’s scale is a force multiplier. It strengthens our ability to provide a unified infrastructure for the Web3 AI economy, enabling AI systems to securely manage transactions on behalf of enterprises and individuals.”
With over 2,500 active nodes, Subsquid’s status as one of the world’s largest decentralized data networks (managing over 2.1 petabytes of blockchain data and 5 million queries per day) made it an attractive acquisition target for Rezolve AI.
With prior use in applications such as decentralized finance (DeFi) and analytics, the Subsquid acquisition helps Rezolve AI address many of the data-related issues inherent to the current Web3-powered AI economy.
This comes at a time when global demand for AI-powered checkout — one of the chief applications used by many of Rezolve AI’s clients — is projected to grow at a rapid CAGR of 17.5% between 2025 and 2031. As part of the acquisition, Subsquid’s token, SQD, is set to be rebranded after regulatory and exchange approvals have been granted.
Leveraging Blockchain Data for AI
“Web3 data is fragmented across decentralized networks, which makes it hard to get the clean, structured data AI needs — especially for retail,” Wagner explains. “With Subsquid, we gain a decentralized data lake that aggregates, normalizes and makes Web3 data searchable. That lets AI analyze on-chain activity, generate actionable insights, and apply them to commerce — so agents don’t just execute transactions; they learn and improve outcomes.”
With Subsquid supplying a decentralized and searchable data layer infrastructure for autonomous AI agents, Rezolve is then able to expand data and payments support through other AI-powered solutions. Payment rails enable checkout and settlement of digital assets across a broad mix of cryptocurrencies, while Rezolve’s LLM creates an intelligent layer that supports contextual understanding and decision-making for these AI-powered transactions.
“Our three-layer approach — quality blockchain data, modern payment rails, and LLM intelligence — gives agents the foundation to manage search, negotiation, and transaction flows autonomously,” Wagner says. “This is how we unlock scalability for decentralized finance and other AI-driven data and payment systems.”
Delivering Meaningful Results to Merchants and Payment Providers
With the layers of intelligence, payments, and data, Wagner and his team at Rezolve AI believe that implementation of agentic commerce is becoming better and better.
These applications are especially powerful for enterprises seeking to utilize Web3 resources to better reach their existing customers. For example, Rezolve AI’s commerce-focused LLM assists retailers with valuable resources such as product matching and search, product ranking, sequential recommendations, and sentiment analysis to deliver product recommendations based on context, enriched data, user sentiment, and other factors.
Tools like conversational commerce are poised to be even more transformational, delivering human-like conversations that help end users get matched with relevant products, manage product returns or replacements, or even automatically make purchases based on customers’ known preferences and past buying behaviors.
“With the right foundation, AI becomes a trusted intermediary in a digital-asset economy,” Wagner says. “In our deployments, we’ve seen increases in online revenue, average order value, and conversion. With Subsquid’s Web3 data backbone, we expect to compound those results.”
The Future of the Digital Economy
As Wagner’s insights reveal, his company’s latest acquisition has positioned Rezolve AI to further transform the world of AI-driven commerce. With the twin innovations of AI-driven commerce and Web3, brands and retailers can utilize technology that empowers better customer experiences and operational efficiency through smarter customer activations, search and discovery tools, personalization options, frictionless checkout, and real-time customer service.
Alongside growing adoption of other innovations, such as AI-powered supply chain tools, it is clear that the world of commerce is undergoing a rapid change — and Rezolve AI’s acquisitions will put it at the forefront of these innovations.
