ARPA Network, a decentralized computation protocol powered by threshold BLS signatures, is on a mission to make Web3 more secure, reliable, and transparent. As part of this effort, ARPA has partnered with SOON and SoloChain to deploy Randcast, its decentralized and verifiable Random Number Generator (RNG), into their respective ecosystems.

Through these integrations, Randcast will provide tamper-proof, on-chain randomness to support a range of use cases. On SOON, Randcast will enable fair and transparent randomness for blockchain gaming, NFT drops, and AI-generated content (AIGC). Meanwhile, within the SoloChain ecosystem, it will support unbiased decision-making for AI agents and enhance the fairness of DePIN mining operations.

Boosting Verifiable Randomness in SOON and SoloChain With Randcast

ARPA’s Randcast is a decentralized, on-chain random number generator (RNG) that delivers verifiable randomness using ARPA’s BLS Threshold Signature Scheme (BLS-TSS). With an easy-to-integrate smart contract SDK, Randcast enables developers to bring transparency and trust to DApps that rely on randomness.

Now integrating with both SOON and SoloChain, Randcast will power fair, tamper-proof randomness across a variety of applications, from gaming and NFTs to AI-driven logic and DePIN mining, enhancing the reliability and integrity of both ecosystems.

Provable Randomness for Games and NFTs on SOON

SOON is a general-purpose Layer-2 on Ethereum, powered by a decoupled Solana Virtual Machine and advanced Merklization technology. By combining Ethereum’s robust security with Solana’s high-performance parallelism, SOON delivers a modular, horizontally scalable rollup stack optimized for speed, interoperability, and developer efficiency.

ARPA’s partnership with SOON brings provably fair, verifiable, and transparent randomness to blockchain gaming and AIGC applications, ensuring unbiased gameplay and cryptographically secure AI solutions. By integrating the decentralized Randcast RNG, the collaboration strengthens SOON’s developer tooling, removes reliance on centralized randomness providers, and reinforces the integrity of in-app logic across the ecosystem.

Randcast will provide cryptographically secure randomness to support dynamic gameplay on SOON, enabling randomized game mechanics and unique in-game character attributes. Additionally, it will help reduce bias in game logic, including challenges, winner selection, prize distribution, and other chance-based systems, allowing developers to build games that are provably fair, trustworthy, and tamper-resistant.

Within the SOON ecosystem, Randcast will also enable the generation of unique and diverse characteristics such as colors, shapes, patterns, and bounties for in-game characters, terrains, and loot boxes. It’ll also allow developers to design transparent, on-chain giveaway systems using engagement-based metrics like total hours played or tokens staked. Moreover, Randcast provides tamper-proof rarity levels for NFT minting and helps produce distinct, verifiable outputs for AI-generated content (AIGC), enhancing both creativity and fairness across SOON-powered applications.

By integrating Randcast, SOON strengthens its position as the first SVM rollup to offer provable randomness at the infrastructure level. This is a key step toward realizing its Super Adoption Stack (SAS) and accelerating the mass adoption of blockchain applications.

Fair and Transparent On-chain Apps on SoloChain

SoloChain is an Ethereum Layer-2 built to power AI agents, DePIN applications, and equitable mining through a programmable, user-centric architecture. Developed on the open-source OP Stack and powered by ETH, SoloChain offers a scalable and autonomous ecosystem, now live on testnet.

ARPA’s Randcast will deliver decentralized and verifiable randomness to SoloChain, helping strengthen fairness and transparency for various on-chain applications, from mining and token distribution to AI agent execution.

For example, Randcast’s integration will bolster decentralized, equitable DePIN mining curves with hard-to-predict, unbiased randomness for deciding mining rewards and lottery winners. Besides making SoloChain’s mining outcomes more transparent and resistant to manipulation, Randcast will offer cryptographically secure randomness for AI agent actions and decision-making, enabling agents on SoloChain to make autonomous decisions with impartial, verifiable outcomes

The partnership will help SoloChain to leverage Randcast for transparent, decentralized, and randomized token distributions, airdrops, and protocol-level lotteries. Furthermore, Randcast’s RNG will offer verifiable randomness to ensure fair game theory models, on-chain game mechanics, and DeFi applications.

Because randomness is inherently difficult to verify, ARPA’s infrastructure ensures system integrity and reduces bias, helping SoloChain deliver a more impartial and trustworthy experience for all users.

Building a Secure SOON and SoloChain Ecosystem With ARPA

Random number generation is a critical function for DApps and smart contracts, yet it is often vulnerable to manipulation. ARPA’s Randcast addresses this challenge by leveraging a decentralized network of nodes that use BLS-TSS to generate randomness in a way that no single participant can control.

By aggregating entropy from multiple regions, Randcast’s distributed nodes collaboratively perform BLS signatures to produce cryptographically secure randomness. This architecture ensures that neither individual nodes nor centralized actors can tamper with results, providing a reliable foundation for randomness-driven applications across both SOON and SoloChain.

Felix Xu, Co-founder and CEO of ARPA, explained how Randcast’s automatic gas estimation and subscription model help users. The fee estimation feature predicts gas costs during random number generation to ensure successful transactions through optimal subscription funds.

Randcast’s subscription model allows users to manage payments by interacting with certain functions in the Randcast Adapter contract. It provides them with a unique subscription ID, which helps to track the status and manage contracts associated with DApps.

This infrastructure provides unbiased and verifiable randomness for a wide range of use cases in the SOON and SoloChain ecosystems, including in-game item generation, NFT attributes, AIGC outputs, DePIN mining rewards, and AI agent behavior. ARPA’s blockchain-agnostic approach will continue to support DApps and developers across ecosystems, offering a flexible foundation for building secure, transparent, and innovative applications.
